Use the Label designer to create labels and other reports that use more than one streamFrame.

By default, label outlines and vertical and horizontal rulers appear. If you don't want either one of these, choose Properties|Report Designer Properties. To select a label type (size and number of labels on the page), choose Layout|Set Label Type.

The Label designer has the following tools:

Component palette for dragging user-interface elements, data-access objects, and other components to the design surface

Field palette for dragging linked fields to the design surface

Inspector for setting properties and writing event handlers and other methods

Format toolbar for formatting Text objects

Alignment toolbar for aligning objects

Layout, Format, and Method menus

Status bar to show you your location on the design surface, show you what object is selected, and tell you what page you're on.

To display a tool window that’s not open, choose View|Tool Windows.

Design and Run modes

You can view labels in Design mode and Run mode. To switch between the modes, click the appropriate toolbar buttons, or choose the appropriate command from the View menu.

Labels are saved with an .LAB extension. Label files in the current directory are listed on the Report page of the Navigator.
